Description

We are seeking an experienced Lamination and Infusion Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiberglass composite lamination and infusion techniques, along with proven leadership skills to oversee and guide a team of technicians in achieving production goals and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on fiberglass composite lamination and infusion processes, including best practices, quality standards, and safety protocols.
2. Plan and organize workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines, allocating resources and assigning tasks as needed to optimize productivity.
3. Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
4. Monitor and evaluate production processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary to achieve operational excellence.
5. Collaborate with engineering, design, and quality control departments to review specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement design changes or process improvements.
6. Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies required for lamination and infusion operations, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams as needed to ensure timely delivery.
7. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance requirements.
8. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members, promoting open communication and a positive work environment.
9. Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements in materials and technology, and emerging best practices related to fiberglass composite manufacturing.
10. Perform lamination and infusion processes according to established procedures and specifications.
11. Prepare molds, materials, and equipment for lamination and infusion operations.
12. Apply fiberglass composite materials, resin, and gelcoat using various techniques such as hand layup, vacuum bagging, and resin infusion.
13. Monitor and control resin flow, vacuum pressure, and curing temperatures during the infusion process to ensure optimal results.

Requirements

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in fiberglass composite manufacturing is preferred.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fiberglass composite lamination and infusion techniques, with demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

3. Proficiency in hand layup, vacuum bagging, and resin infusion processes, along with a strong understanding of fiberglass composite materials, resins, catalysts, and gelcoats.

4. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

5. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to fiberglass composite manufacturing, with a commitment to creating a safe work environment.

6. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed to meet production goals and deadlines.
