The Role:
FREEBIRD STORES, Inc. is looking for individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Our Warehouse Associates are the first step in ensuring that every order meets our highest standards and gets delivered to our customers on time. Our Warehouse Associates will be responsible for ensuring that all inventory received is ready to be processed for order fulfillment, while also ensuring that every order meets our highest standards and gets delivered to our customers on time. Our ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and the ability to efficiently and effectively execute any plan thrown their way.
Warehouse Associate positions are open for immediate hire. Functions include receiving inventory, organizing inventory, quality control, packing, stocking shelves, and shipping packages.
Responsibilities:
- Receive large inventory shipments direct from factory and begin inspection process.
- Shifting, stocking, and organizing inventory daily.
- Operate pallet jacks and carts to restock and pick product.
- Picking, packing, and shipping inventory to distribute to stores.
- Picking, packing, and shipping product for ecommerce orders.
- Utilize various inventory and shipping softwares to maintain accurate inventory and meet daily shipping goals.
- Quality inspection of individual products as part of shipping process.
- Help clean warehouse with basic sanitation practices: sweep, take out trash, bale cardboard.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept orderly and organized to ensure efficiency.
- Assist in inventory counts and physical inventories.
- Perform general warehouse duties including breaking down boxes, using cardboard baler, sweep, etc.
- Work positively with a team to meet business goals and timelines.
- Present a professional attitude and appearance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
- Ability to accurately and quickly execute plans within a team or individually
- Can consistently maneuver a warehouse and store stockrooms throughout a day without physical fatigue
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction
- Operates calmly under pressure during high volume times
- Highly detailed oriented and organized
- Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and stand/walk for extended periods of time, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
- Positive attitude and team player
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
