The Lower School Vice Principal supports and advances the mission of FCS by assisting the Lower School Principal in the areas of discipline, curriculum, scheduling, and coordinating and supervising activities which reflect the school’s philosophy and meet the needs of the students; reports to the principal.
Requirements
1. Committed Christian with a close personal walk with the Lord, maintained through personal routines (such as prayer and reading the Bible) and in the school setting (through regular participation in Prayer and Share devotional times and other spiritual development)
2. Regular in attendance at an evangelical Protestant church
3. Commitment to a Biblical lifestyle, not promoting or engaging in premarital, extramarital, transgender, or homosexual behavior
4. If married, a solid commitment based on Mark 10:9 and positive marital relationship
5. Strong commitment to Christian education
6. Bachelor's degree that preferably includes courses focused on K-12 education
7. Master’s degree in education, counseling, or administration, or significant progress in graduate program is preferred
8. Minimum 3 years teaching experience
9. Committed to keeping ACSI or state certification current according to FCS guidelines; ACSI certificate in administration required
10. Ability to communicate sensitively with students, staff, parents, and the general public and to communicate a vision for Christian education
11. Ability to multitask and keep progress of several projects continuously moving forward
12. Team player who seeks to build unity among the staff and within the organization
13. Teachable, servant spirit
14. Demonstrated ability to relate to students, professional staff, parents/guardians, and members of the community
15. Understanding of FCS culture and values
16. Ability to maintain confidentiality
17. Understanding of the special needs of students at various grade levels
18. Must be eligible to work in the United States. FCS does not reimburse for relocation expenses.
