Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Bakery Assistant. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bakery operations and ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.
Responsibilities:
-Assist customers, stocking both fridges and cookie display.
- Assist in the preparation and production of bakery items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods
- Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes
- Mix, knead, and shape dough
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Decorate and garnish baked goods as required
- Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously including cash register.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
