Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. is seeking a licensed funeral director for our Malone, NY location with no less than one full year of employment experience preferably.
We are a long-established family-owned firm in Northern New York with five funeral service locations. We also operate a monument sales company and a medical transport business. The position is full time and commission for monument sales would allow a great earning potential. Newly licensed directors are still encouraged to apply. We have a very friendly work environment.
Job Duties Include:
Assisting families and funeral directors in the carrying out funeral services
Embalming and preparing human remains / cremains for funeral service
Being part of a rotating on-call schedule
Performing removals of human remains
Assisting families and managing the office during visitation
Educating individuals and families on the value and benefits of preplanning and funding their funeral arrangements.
Miscellaneous maintenance tasks as needed including monument sales and light maintenance/cleaning.
Job Qualifications:
NYS funeral license or the ability to reciprocate license from another state
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Excellent driving skills and record
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with families during time of need and create and maintain a premier level of client family satisfaction
Proficient with computers and technology with knowledge of MS Office Tools & Google Applications
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
