Franklin Public Schools is seeking applicants for a School Social Work Position. As a member of the student services team, the school social worker has the responsibility to identify and assist students and families overcome barriers that interfere with learning through the use of assessment, counseling, consultation, coordination of school and community resources, and program development. The School Social Worker functions as a mental health professional on a multi-disciplinary team by providing diagnostic services and assisting in the development of intervention strategies to meet individual social, emotional learning needs. Additional responsibilities include assisting the school in planning programs that prevent, reduce or alleviate situations which interfere with the learning process of students.QUALIFICATIONS: Certification by DPI as a School Social Worker and school social work experience at the elementary level is highly desirable.Interested candidates must fill out completely the WECAN application and complete the TeacherInsight to be considered.**Directions on taking the TeacherInsight will be provided on WECAN after your application is submitted.**
