Overview:

Experienced Bobst Die Cut Operator opening on 2nd Shift Monday – Friday 3:00 pm. – 11:00 pm. Must be familiar with setting up and running a Bobst 106e cutter w/ stripping or a Bobst 102cer / 103er Die Cutter with blanking.

Responsibilities

• Performs all on press make ready functions. (cutting, patching, proper nicking of die, sets stripping unit, checks print register, glues, and assembles cartons to ensure correct form and function,
• Runs press achieving maximum run speeds at all times.
• Works in a proper and safe manner at all times.
• Acquires approval from Production Manager prior to running.
• Monitors quality throughout run.
• Inspects sheets during operation for proper cutting and scoring of cartons.
• Tags loads with any defects for next operation to remove.
• Saves die cut retains during course of run
• Accurately records job data in computer system.
• Inserts proper loads tags with customer name and sheets per load for next operation.
• Requires the ability to lift 10-25 pounds continuously, up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in a controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
• Must have experience setting up and running a die cutter with a blanking section.
• Must have knowledge of various die cutting make-readies using counter board, matrix and counter plates.
• Knowledge of die making, bending knife and rule preferred.
• Must have three years’ experience operating Bobst die cutter or similar equipment.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of the job.

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overnight shift
