Franklin & Marshall's nationally recognized and centrally located Office of Student and Post-Graduate Development (OSPGD) seeks a relationship-driven, detail-oriented administrative professional for this Student and Alumni Development Coordinator opportunity, responsible for providing administrative, marketing and communication, and logistical support for Franklin & Marshall's Health Professions, Legal and STEM Professions, Career Development and Fellowships Advising systems that engage more than 90% of the student body and thousands of alumni yearly in their advisement and programmatic offerings. The Coordinator will also hire, onboard, schedule and supervise the team of student workers who staff OSPGD's front-desk operations in Harwood Commons and the complete various administrative, data and operational projects throughout the year in support of the entire OSPGD team.

Essential Functions:

  • ADMINISTRATIVE: Provide administrative support to the Directors of Health Professions Advising, STEM and Legal Professions Advising, and Fellowships Advising, respectively, along with the Director and two Assistant Directors of Career Development, including managing their active calendars, prioritizing incoming issues and concerns, and coordinating meeting and travel arrangements.
  • MARKETING: Design, execute and track the impact of marketing and communication campaigns in support of OSPGD's robust student and alumni career advisement and development systems (i.e. Career Development, Health Professions Advising, Legal and STEM Professions Advising, and Fellowships Advising) including developing and editing content for social media platforms, the external-facing website and internal-facing intranet site(s), e-newsletters, posters, promotional communications and materials
  • EVENT AND PROGRAM COORDINATION: Coordinate and provide logistical support for OSPGD's 250 virtual, on- and off-campus programs, including room reservations and set-up, entering registration and attendance into OSPGD's content management systems, producing sign-in sheets, and handling catering, speaker accommodations and travel arrangements. Also handle the award, disbursement and reconciliation of OSPGD's Summer Experience Fund Program, including supporting the Selection Committee.
  • STUDENT WORKER TRAINING AND SUPERVISION: Hire, train and supervise a team of student workers who support the Coordinator's role, including facilitating their short and long-term projects while ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • BUDGETARY: Monitor and reconcile the operating and endowed, restricted or current use funds that the Directors of Health Professions Advising, STEM and Legal Professions Advising, oversee, including, for example, disbursement of OSPGD's summer experience fund awards. Prepare purchase orders, process reimbursements and reconcile Pcard purchases.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience directly related to the coordinator's responsibilities required, preferably in education or with a non-profit
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision required.
  • Sound writing, detail-orientation, and time-management skills required
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.
  • Strong computer skills including MC Office and Google Suite required.
  • Experience with Adobe suite of programs including InDesign, Photoshop and illustrator preferred.
  • Experience with Cognos, Banner or an equivalent data warehouse and reporting system preferred
  • Ability and willingness to provide exceptional service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other stakeholders and constituencies is essential, with an understanding of the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion..
Additional Information:
