Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a full-time International Admission Counselor.

Job Details:

  • Location: F&M Campus - Lancaster, PA
  • Classification: Full-time, Exempt
  • Schedule: 40 hours, M-F
  • Reports to: Associate Director of International Recruitment
  • Department: Office of Admission

Job Description:

The International Admission Counselor is responsible for the identification and recruitment of promising prospective students across the globe. The International Admission Counselor is responsible for reaching an enrollment goal in the assigned geographic territory and contribute to the attainment of the overall enrollment target for the new student class at Franklin & Marshall College.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in on-campus programs, high school visits, and college fairs to promote Franklin & Marshall College. Travel within assigned geographic territory to represent the College at high schools and college fairs. Meet with high school students, parents, and secondary school counselors to promote academic and co-curricular programs at Franklin & Marshall College.
  • Read and evaluate admission applications, identify prospective students of high potential, and recommend students for admission.
  • Work closely with high school counselors, and global organizations to foster strong partnerships to advance the mission of F&M.
  • Collaborate with the admissions staff in strategic planning and data analysis for assigned territories to meet institutional goals.
  • Will be required to work on some evenings and weekends in the representation of the College through regional recruitment programs.
  • Maintain contact with students interested in admission and provide excellent customer service. Respond to inquiries for information in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the executing of a variety of on-campus and off-campus recruitment and yield programs, virtually and in-person.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
  • The successful candidate must possess a U.S. or Canadian driver's license which has been valid for at least two years, have a driving record that is free from excessive motor vehicle violations within the last three years, and have had no convictions in the last 24 months for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a college or secondary school admission office.
  • Basic Proficiency with Google Suite products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Drive, Slides).
Additional Information:

Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, Pennsylvania ACT 153 background clearances, and verification of credentials. The College will coordinate these verifications.
