You'll play a vital role in supporting and optimizing departmental client / server software applications. This includes diagnosing and resolving issues, optimizing performance, and providing round-the-clock support in a fast-paced environment.

Position : Department System Specialist

Salary : $50,000 - $87,000

Location : On-Site - Atlanta, GA

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Review and analyze application systems including testing, debugging and installing to support departmentally based client / server software applications.
  • Troubleshoots problems across the spectrum of application delivery.
  • Use various operating systems and assist with program / scripting.
  • Use concepts, practices, and procedures within the IS department, including quality control and backup and recovery.
  • Tunes end user reports for performance efficiency.
  • Perform tasks occasionally with minimal direction from management.
  • Provide production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management OR four years related experience without a degree.
  • Epic experience.
  • Strong PC / desktop maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Experienced with concepts, practices, and procedures within the IS department, including quality control and backup and recovery.
  • Must have two years experience working in a vertical support model (acting as single point of contact for customer support, system maintenance, problem solving, and technical support.).
