Candidate Profile
The Superintendent of Schools/Principal will be a strong, effective leader who will use their broad experience to work with the Board of Education and district stakeholders to create and execute a collaborative vision for the district. Our next Superintendent/Principal will be someone who:

• Effectively communicates with honesty and integrity, and shares information in a timely, transparent way
• Builds strong relationships, is open-minded, and exhibits excellent listening skills
• A strong leader who is decisive, fair, and able to unite a wide range of stakeholders around a shared vision for the district
• Prioritizes the safety of students and actively secures the building and grounds
• Is an experienced administrator with success in budget management, as well as past experience teaching in a classroom
• Understands the needs of a small, rural community

Compensation
The Board is prepared to negotiate a 3-year contract with a salary up to $143,000
Search Timeline
January 26, 2024 - Deadline for submission of application and supporting materials
February 2024 - First round of interviews (this phase has the potential to be confidential)
March 2024 - Constituent groups will interview finalists (information about this phase will be shared with the public)
April 2024 - Board of Education appoints new Superintendent
July 1, 2024 - Candidate assumes duties

District residency is preferred but not required
