Quality Technician II

Department: Manufacturing / Operations / Quality

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: US - Oregon - Canby

Reporting To: Nate Wynn

Description

Responsible for conducting evaluation, performing improvement actions, and providing direction for next steps of finished pump and package products, parts, and power systems to ensure high level of quality. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine part/product analysis (RMA) of field returned materials
  • Compiles test data and performs appropriate analyses
  • Evaluates analytical methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved
  • Identifies quality problems and recommends solutions at the pump, part, and package level
  • Interprets measurement results, compares them to established specifications and control limits, and makes recommendations on the appropriateness of data 
  • Participates in out-of-specification and failure investigations and corrective actions
  • May receive and inspect raw materials and data to ensure accuracy and compliance (FAI)
  • Identifies and troubleshoots assembly build problems (diesel engines, touch panel interface, pump or package failures)
  • Participates in internal assessments and audits as required
  • Performs visual inspections of finished products
  • Assists production department with problem investigations 
  • Provides support data necessary for regulatory submissions (Safety, OSHA)
  • Assists in process capability studies, DOE’s, GR&R, or other data gathering activities
  • Participates in internal assessments and audits
  • Interfaces with suppliers (via phone and/or e-mail) to resolve Quality issues 
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Education and Experience
  • Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
  • Three to five years of relevant education or experience in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field (required).
Computer Skills
  • Advanced: Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic: database, word processing/typing, PowerPoint
