Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 /year

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the Engineering and Production departments. They will supply detailed work instructions to the production floor and provide guidance and explanations. They will troubleshoot technical problems including demonstrating with hands on instruction.

3. DUTIES AND TASKS

• Release travelers, production drawings and support documentation to the production department.
• Provide explanations, guidance and training related to the above documents.
• Troubleshoot technical problems.
• Basic knowledge of Solidworks. Able to review and analyze drawings.
• Clarify drawing requirements and manufacturing techniques to production, purchasing and quality, including hands-on demonstrations.
• Purchase services, tools, and shop consumables as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education required: College diploma.
• Education preferred: College diploma in engineering or technical field.
• Experience required: One year experience working in a shop environment (practical or theoretical). Experience in Solidworks or similar software. Knowledge of MS Excel and ERP software.
• Language: English.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES

• Able to use basic woodworking tools.
• Able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Able to work closely with multiple departments and more than one project at a time.
• Able to think on the fly.
• Handle many redirections while working on projects (interruptions, revision changes, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
