A Day in the Life

Responsibilities include but are not limited to machine setup, machine operation, quality control, always done in a safe and efficient manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular and consistent basis.
• Experience with Weinig equipment and/or hardwood lumber is highly preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate who may have a very strong background in woodworking or operating industrial woodworking machinery. Must be willing to work overtime when required.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and to effectively multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Work Environment

Typical lumber mill environment. Required safety gear will be provided.

Paxton is a Drug Free environment candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Due to the nature of the role, candidates will be required to pass a criminal record and other related background check.

Please note, as part of our interview process we ask candidates to participate in a series of assessments. These assessments are designed to help more fully understand the candidate’s attributes. Assessments are administered in the office and take approximately 30 minutes.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
