The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, NC announces an opening for a Director of Pastoral Ministries. The parish, an award winning and nationally recognized community of over 5500 households with a pastoral staff of 30, seeks someone to coordinate the staff and build on the parish’s longstanding history of bringing baptismal and ministerial priesthood together in the collaborative vision of Vatican II and to assist the pastor in the ongoing formation of the community, especially in the areas of evangelization, missionary discipleship, and stewardship. The director reports directly to the pastor and collaborates with him in bringing a common vision to the parishioners and staff who serve them. The successful applicant will have a graduate degree in theology, be conversant in the field of evangelization, have a minimum of five years of experience in successful pastoral leadership, demonstrated skills in forming Christian community and change management, and be deeply committed to the vision of Vatican II in accord with the vision of Pope Francis. Two or more years of supervisory experience is also required.
