We are looking for a part time transportation attendant to become a key member of the Life Enrichment team tasked with providing high-quality transportation for our residents to events, activities and appointments. This individual will be required to safely operate a 12 passenger van.

General Working Conditions

The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.

Required to provide transportation for residents in various weather conditions.

2. Physical Demands of the Position

The ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, balance and grasp in order to perform a variety of tasks.

Must be able to safely be transporting residents to and from programs/activities; loading and unloading the facility bus for outings.

Provided assistance to residents as needed.

3. Mental Acuity Requirements of the Job

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Must be able to operate the bus with constant interruptions and distractions.

Must be able to demonstrate patience when working with residents.

Must be detailed oriented and possess sound judgement in decision making.

4.Sensory Requirement of this Position

Ability to see and hear in order to visually assess tasks and assist with the needs of the residents.

Ability to receive and give oral and written instructions.

4. Technical/Motor Skill Requirements of the Job

Ability to speak and write in a clear and concise manner to communicate with residents, visitors and staff.

Ability to manipulate various equipment such as telephones.
