Overview
Infection Control & Staff Development Nurse
Franciscan Village, Lemont, IL
M-F Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the Community and nursing service philosophies, through quality nursing
- Associate audits/inservice of educational resurces
- Maintain Infection Control protocls and procedures
- Administer medication and treatment, complete documentation for residents in their care, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain IDPH,CDC, and Cook Guidelines accordingly
- Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of in-service education
- Be apart of on call rotation ( 1 every 5/6 weeks)
- Promote and respect the dignity and well-being of each resident and their family
Required skills and qualifications:
- Graduate from accredited school of nursing , BSN preferred
- 1 year experience minimuum with Infection Control
- Two years of clinical experience preferred, but not required
- Current nursing license for the state of Illinois
- CPR certified
- Must enjoy working with the senior population
