Overview

Franciscan Ministries is looking for a Accounts Receivable Analyst to add to our Home Office team located in Lemont, IL! This position is responsible for data entry into the automated billing system including cash receipts and ancillaries, processing and follow up on Co-insurance and Managed Care claims, assisting the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with Medicaid Billing, compiling necessary information, filing, follow-up and printing of reports. Follow up on outstanding Medicare and Medicaid Billing.

Responsibilities:

• Posts Medicare payment to the detail resident account balances; Discrepancies should be reported to the AR Manager
• Posts Medicaid payment to the detail resident account balances; verifies that the vendor balances match the Medicaid monthly charge. Discrepancies should be reported to the AR Supervisor. Any Medicaid vendor denials should be reported to the AR Manager upon receipt of information.
• Monthly enters all Medicare billing information obtained from the third part contracted biller into the billing system. Reports any discrepancies to the A/R Manager.
• Assembles co-insurance billing and Managed Care information. Reviews with A/R Supervisor to address any issues. Follow up on unpaid billed co-insurance, Managed Care claims, Medicare and Medicaid until claims are paid in full.
• Assists AR Supervisor with Illinois Medicaid billing including review of prepayment reports, census changes, income changes, and application follow up
• Prints and maintains all reports relating to accounts receivable as assigned
• All other duties as assigned or as area of responsibility indicate

Requirements:

• High School Dipolma or GED required; Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
• 3 – 5 years of "long term health care" billing experience including Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance reimbursement
• High proficiency in computerized billing programs
• Excellent data entry; proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Skilled Nursing Facility billing experience required
• Proficient in Point Click Care billing sytem preferred
