WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Orientation of new Admission Coordinators and new therapy and nursing staff.
Administrator of Allscripts application they utilize to receive and respond to external referrals; add people to app and remove when they leave, teach others how to utilize app, is the contact person for the vendor.
Lead marketing calls and referral source meetings as representative of team.
Create marketing brochures and other materials (revises as well) for my approval.
Review market for additional marketing giveaways for us to purchase.
Stay abreast of what competitors and referral sources are doing to take advantage of or respond to threats and opportunities for our Service Line.
Represent the voice of the Admission Coordinators to improve processes with the IP Rehab Team members and physicians Communicate with patient and or family any copays or financial expenses known at the time.
Serve as liaison between admissions and colleagues; confer with team members regarding department needs re appropriate admissions; recommend changes or additions to current system to enhance effectiveness of department.,
Maintain information for various reports; prepare reports for supervisor such as department referral activity and reports; identify trends.
Assist with resolving complex and non-routine admission process problems requiring rehab policy interpretation.
Identify course competencies for Admission Coordinator role.
Assist with updating and creating new manuals/processes for Liaison positions as they are changed and developed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5 years of experience in related field required
Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required
