JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing ongoing, emergency, and preventative maintenance at our restaurant locations.

You will be essential in ensuring that our restaurants are operating with functional equipment and that building interiors and exteriors are maintained and in compliance with brand standards.

Responsibilities will include : performing building repairs, troubleshooting problems occurring onsite with restaurant equipment (including kitchen equipment), and working in conjunction with our Director of Facilities and Development for ongoing facilities projects.

Essential Functions :

• Provide support to restaurant operations and management by performing handyman maintenance duties (such as : minor electrical projects, painting, plumbing, and exterior cleanup).
• Evaluation and oversight of preventative maintenance programs to maximize the effectiveness and performance of restaurant tools and equipment.
• Onsite service for emergency repairs, cosmetic repairs and assistance with installations, in accordance with the Director of Facilities and Development.
• Regular inspections of assigned restaurants with clear communication and reporting on their equipment and property condition.
• Communication with Facilities and Operations departments regarding on-going and upcoming work, including weekly scheduled site visits.
• Responsible for emergencies on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (such as : wall switches and outlets, incandescent / fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, et.

using appropriate hand, power, and speciality tools.

• Performs minor plumbing maintenance including replacement and repairs of leaks in drains / faucets, unclogging drains, trenching and laying new lines, et.
• Transport goods, supplies, and equipment to various sites.
• Assists supervisor with recommendations regarding capital budget expenditures for equipment, building and property repair or replacement.
• Maintains records of store level equipment inventory, spare parts and company owned tool inventories. Provides reports as requested and tracks inventories.
• Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain a clean facility.
• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
• Performs duties as required for restaurant openings, special events, and restaurant closures; assists in transfer, sales and / or disposal of equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements :

Required Skills

Working knowledge of general construction skills, building codes and mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.

SCHEDULE

Must adhere to a flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating on call schedule. Includes travel routinely to restaurant locations within the given market.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is generally performed at restaurant location sites. Travel to and from sites is required and will be tracked. Special assignments may be required, if assigned specific location information will be provided ahead of time.

Physical demands will be in relation to the above tasks, and will include : working with power and specialty tools, working from heights, lifting heavy objects, and working in hot, or confined spaces.
