About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our MarTech team as a Tech Lead, Guest Data Platform based in Shelton, CT. The Tech Lead, Guest Data Platform is responsible for leading the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of data pipelines and integrations, data architecture, and data management that support the Guest Data Platform. The Tech Lead will provide technical expertise and guidance to dedicated development teams for each of these tools and ensure alignment with the enterprise data strategy and standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Takes 100% responsibility for an assigned project, lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data pipelines and integrations that ingest, transform, and deliver data from various sources to the Guest Data Platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development teams working on data engineering and customer data platform projects.
  • Proactively identifies problems/risks for all domain in a project and communicates these issues early to help course-correct.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including enterprise architecture, project teams, and business stakeholders to understand the data requirements, provide technical solutions, and resolve issues as needed.
  • Stay abreast of the latest best practices, trends, and technologies in data engineering and customer data platform domains and recommend appropriate solutions to meet the business needs.
  • Collaborate with the Adobe Product team to facilitate all initiatives related to personalization and guest targeting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data management roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years in leading data engineering or customer data platform projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in designing and developing data pipelines and integrations using various tools and technologies such as Matillion, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in designing and developing data architecture and data management solutions using various tools and technologies such as AWS Redshift, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Athena, AWS Kinesis, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with customer data platforms such as Adobe Experience Platform, Segment, Tealium, etc is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in working with data quality, data governance, data security, and data privacy standards and best practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
