About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Program Manager based in Shelton, CT. The Program Manager is accountable for the success of multiple projects under their management and works closely with the Pillar portfolio lead to align project scope to product vision and roadmap. This position has primary responsibility for planning, executing, and delivering multiple projects on time, on budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks. There is significant interaction required with Pillar leads due to the scope and/or complexity of the projects that are managed. This position will typically manage and will be accountable for several large complex projects, or fewer projects which are significant in scope/size.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review project plans from PM's to look for alignment to Subway SDLC standards regardless of Project Methodology; includes all aspects of Project Management including risk management, scope management, stakeholder management, etc., create and update Program Roadmaps.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers through Intake and Project Approval including developing budget, business case development, scoping, value, and benefits.
  • Review and aggregate multiple Project Budgets and/or create Program Budget and then manage to budget taking full accountability for submitting change requests if there are cost overruns and ensuring stakeholders aware of upcoming overruns.
  • Develop and share best practices around project and program management practices; actively work to support and promote PMO standards; support Sr. Program Manager(s) Dir PMO with the delivery of excellence.
  • Coach & mentor other Project/Product Managers, Scrum Masters and Analysts.

Qualifications (some examples listed below):

  • Bachelor's degree, in Computer Science or Engineering or related field OR related experience.
  • 3-5 years related business experience.
  • Prior experience with SaaS implementation
  • Advanced competency using all PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communicator. Aptitude for communicating effectively at all levels.
  • Exhibits strategic thinking at all times.
  • Demonstrates accountability, ownership, and follow-through - presents solutions to opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Can communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborates well with internal/external vendors across multiple time zones.
  • Experience leading teams and projects in times of ambiguity, frequent change, and/or unpredictability.
