About the Role:

We have an exciting internship opportunity to support our Technology team as an Intern - Restaurant Technology - ServiceNow and Software based in the USA. The ServiceNow and Software Intern will be responsible for daily admin/operational duties tied to the ServiceNow and Software Asset Management departments. Functions will also involve project and continuous improvement work tied to the subdepartments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Projects
    • ServiceNow - This includes involvement in project work on a need-to-know basis. Admin must be privy to the work being done around integrations and module set up, while leaving most of the work to the integrations and stakeholders.
    • Software Asset Management - This includes involvement in project work on a need-to-know basis. Most project work involves the set up of integrations with apps to collect license data.
  • Operations
    • ServiceNow - This includes daily work such as assigning groups, maintaining users, providing training and guidance, involvement in scrum, attending meetings related to ServiceNow, working on reports and dashboards, being a POC for incidents, analyzing ServiceNow data for accuracy and issues, grooming the backlog, checking intake tickets daily.
    • Software Asset Management - This includes daily work such as collecting software data from the right parties like app owners, procurement, accounts payable. Creating and populating software models with data received from procurement or ServiceNow Discovery. Maintaining data to ensure it is always up to date.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • ServiceNow - The admin will work with the manager to create presentations and collect information related to continuous improvement initiatives. This often involves modifications to SLAs, reducing MTTR, working with primary stakeholders to collect information and work with the BA on creating stories and plans for development and changes.
    • Software Asset Management - Working with management and their roadmap to make changes that will improve the posture of the software asset management team. This can include automation via integrations with our developers, creating additional groups and reports for cost transparency, and working on SAM adoption within the company.

Qualifications:

  • Student must be enrolled at a four (4) year college or university for the duration of the internship.
  • Overall cumulative minimum grade point average (GPA) from last quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) required.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Security, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least minimum of 75 credit hours (rising Senior).
  • Must be willing to be on site in Shelton during the internship.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Previous experience in Tableau, Power BI, SAP or SRS, preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Scrum or project management practices.
  • Regard/understanding of governance and/or service protocols, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholder teams and align toward common goals and outcomes.
  • Ability to successfully juggle multiple initiatives and manage changing priorities.

Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
