Main Functions
Supports Shift Supervisors in a manufacturing and assembly environment: may plan and assign work as needed, follows and promotes policies and procedures, assists with employee training and recommends and implements, within a team environment, improvements in production methods, equipment operating procedures and working conditions to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted* to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.*

Typical Duties

• Responsible for training Operators.
• May assign Operators to train other Operators of lesser experience in specific tasks.
• Assigns tasks to Operators based on directives from Production Supervisor and/or Assistant Production Supervisor.
• Assigns Operators/teams to given tasks daily.
• Provides criteria for material rejection during the process.
• Verifies proper equipment selection.
• Will perform duties of Operator as needed.

Preferred Skills
Lean manufacturing /six sigma training and experience

Education Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or five (5) years’ work experience

Experience Requirements
Three (3) years in a production/ manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements
Requires using hands to handle tools or controls. Requires repetitive movement.
Requires prolonged standing/sitting
Requires lifting up to 25 lbs
