Purpose :

The Machine Operator is responsible for the overall operation of FedPro's automated sealant line. This position will be involved in the production of quality products, meeting efficiency standards, and actively working to improve daily processes.

Essential Job Functions :

• Sets up the filling line and makes the proper setting adjustments before operation and between products according to the specifications of the product being produced.
• Effectively runs automated sealant line and monitors equipment to ensure that products are properly produced and equipment is running efficiently.
• Troubleshoots minor issues that may arise during production.
• Regularly uses basic hand tools, scales, and material handling equipment.
• Familiar with tracking production metrics and reporting on product weights, counts, and other information as needed.
• Ensures the production of quality products by following work instructions, and quality standards and by keeping equipment and the surrounding work area organized.
• Responsible for inspecting all products being produced and ensuring the quality is within FedPro's standards and specifications.
• Assists with other production tasks such as batch production, hand filling, packaging, material handling, housekeeping, and safety observations.
• Regularly coordinates and assists other team members in the planning of production schedules and ensuring prompt delivery of products.
• Maintains accurate record-keeping on a daily basis.
• Follows all safety guidelines and adheres to all daily housekeeping initiatives.
• Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

Required Qualifications :

Education, Training and / or Experience :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience operating machines or working in a production setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and abilities :

• Demonstrates problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience.
• Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
• Maintains a high level of energy and a positive attitude.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-focused.
• Able to work on feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

None.

Preferred Qualifications :

Lean 5S Certification.

Physical Demands :

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
