FPC Global is Hiring a Global Head of Program Management (US based) Near San Francisco, CA

The Global Head of Program Management (GHoPM) leads our growing global Program Management function, which includes a team of Technical and Non-Technical Project Managers, Coordinators, and Program Management Office (PMO) functions. Taking accountability for the delivery of our best-in-class technical consultancy services and solutions to global clients.

The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished program leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering global programs and projects for world-leading clients. They will also have excellent people management, stakeholder management, communication, financial, and commercial skills.

As a senior leader in FPC the HoPM shall be accountable for our global Program Management function, namely in respect of (but not limited to):

  • Team Leadership
  • Program Delivery Management
  • Commercial Management
  • Governance & Compliance
  • Business Development

The GHoPM shall lead and manage our Program Management Services , with accountability for the delivery, strategic direction, management and development of the Program Management team, this includes:

  • Leading and managing our Program Management services globally, with responsibility for line management and development of all team members, including both direct and indirect reports, ensuring you:
    • Manage team performance through effective objective-setting, delegation, communication and thorough performance appraisals
    • Devise team growth plans through active promotion of our learning and development program
    • Support the growth recruitment process through participation in the interview and assessment process as required for delivery of our growth objectives
    • Monitor and report on function performance against agreed targets, compliance requirements and in line our strategic objectives
  • Oversee the successful delivery of the FPC Program Portfolio:
    • Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients, through the understanding of requirements and business objectives. Working proactively to meet or exceed expectations, in respect of time, quality, cost and communication.
    • Working collaboratively across our organisation to ensure the successful delivery of all FPC Program Portfolio on-time, to budget and commercial targets (revenue / margin)
    • Ensuring service delivery meets the contractual obligations together with any other relevant client-side documents as agreed with our clients with particular emphasis on achieving delivery of targets (KPI’s / SLA’s)
  • Actively manage contracts to ensure that you:
    • Identify, evaluate and manage all risks to the company’s people, finances and reputation
    • Maintain awareness of, and manage, all challenges to our strategy and implement effective risk management as required
  • Develop, maintain and implement Program Management strategy and processes that are capable of: 
    • Establishing long-term growth through, contribution to the development of future services, capabilities and solutions, in conjunction with our Innovation Board
    • Maintaining and improving our capability in delivering programs to our clients
    • Enhancing our brand reputation throughout the market, both within Program Management and across our wider business capabilities
Program Delivery Management

The GHoPM is accountable for the successful management and delivery of our Project Portfolio throughout all stages of the project life cycle, including (but not limited to):

  • Meeting or exceeding FPC and client expectations for delivery of all program and project deliverables in respect of time, quality, stakeholder management 
  • Ensure delivery meets the obligations of the governing Proposal, Scope of Work (SoW), and/or Engagement Letter, together with any other relevant client-side documents
  • Ensuring an effective Program Management Office (PMO) function to support the delivery of all programs 
  • Program / Project Management reporting
  • Identifying and successfully managing all program and project risks / issues, including project delivery escalations
  • Ensuring appropriate and effective quality assurance of program and project management deliverables and reporting prior to release
  • Quality management and continual improvement of the above
Commercial
  • Working with Business Operations, ensure adherence to financial processes, procedures and policies
  • Provide commercial and performance management of all contracts, ensuring commercial and delivery targets are met and issues managed appropriately
  • Accountable for ensuring the commercial appropriateness and viability of our services for all proposals and contracts / Scope of works 
  • Maintain full awareness of the commercial status of all contracts, providing support to our delivery functions
  • Liaise with delivery teams to collaboratively manage the allocation and effective utilisation of delivery resources on all projects, in full consideration of associated commercials
Governance
  • Ensure compliance with standards (internal/external) in accordance with legislation and guidelines pertinent to the company's role as an employer
  • Recommend changes to policies and procedures to improve governance and compliance
Business Development

As a senior leader within the Program Management function the GHoPM shall, in conjunction with our executive leadership and business development teams:

  • Support the business development team in business development activities, including: 
    • Proactively identify, develop and support new business development opportunities and contribute to strategic client account planning. This may include accessing your professional network to seek leads/opportunities that may be relevant to our integrated services
    • Provide input to the business development strategy and campaigns based on a strong understanding of the needs and priorities of our industry and clients
    • Support the tender process including bid & proposal development, in particular commercial / financial planning, delivery and resource planning, scope development and delivering client presentations
  • Reviewing / agreeing client and FPC commercial documentation, including but not limited to engagement letters, SoWs/Task Orders, program delivery requirements, scope definition, KPIs/SLAs and associated client / industry specification
  • Nurture and maintain key client/stakeholder relationships that are essential to the retention, growth and development of our clients
  • Represent FPC in the market, by building and maintaining partnerships with relevant industry organisations across all regions to enhance the reputation and standing of the company
