Foxdale Village is a Quaker-directed, Continuum Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in State College, PA. Foxdale Village was founded on the values of treating all with dignity and respect. We have an opening available for a per diem Driver to join our dedicated and caring team. This job would be ideal for anyone seeking to supplement their income or seeking a more limited or flexible work schedule.

Primary responsibilites:

Drivers are responsible for the transportation of residents on a casual, or as-needed basis. This includes transporting residents, maintaining a clean and safe environment inside and outside of vehicle, maintaining mileage logs, and reliability. May transport up to twelve persons per day to various locations. Assist with the cleaning of inside and outside of vehicle as directed.

In this role staff drive Foxdale vehicles to provide residents with transportation for activities such as:

a. Medical appointments

b. Beauticians and banks

c. Various shopping locations

d. Social occasions

Drivers assist residents into and out of the vehicles and appointment destinations as needed; secure wheelchairs into the vehicle as needed; pick up supplies as needed; and follow all safety protocols. Training to safety and related requirements is provided.

Requirements

*Valid PA Driver's License and Clean Driving Record

*Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers and residents

*Must be able to bend, stoop and lift at least fifty pounds (with assistance) when needed

*Must be able to speak, read, and write English to communicate with effectively with residents, co-workers, and complete mileage and related logs

*High School Diploma or equivalent
