The Shop Technician is in charge of inspecting, hydro testing, and recharging all customer fire extinguishers brought into the shop. The Shop Tech is also responsible for conducting fire safety demonstrations as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, Hydro test, and recharge all fire extinguishers in a timely manner
• Keep shop clean and organized
• Follows maintenance and repair system/process set forth by Supervisor in order to work as efficiently as possible
• Conduct on site fire safety training for customers/employers at their location as needed/seasonally.
• Instruct/assist customers on the proper use of fire extinguishers and how to safely extinguish a fire as needed/seasonally.
• Conduct & assist extinguishment of fires using fire extinguishers as needed/seasonally.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work well independently and also with teammates
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
