Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco overlooks Yerba Buena Gardens and is located just steps away from the financial district, Union Square shopping, the Moscone Convention Center, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum, amid the city's finest cultural and dining venues. We are currently recruiting for a Regular Banquet House Attendant. This is a union, non-management position. The Banquet House Attendant is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. Our Banquets department is involved from planning, set-up and execution to the breakdown of the room so events happen again the next day – or even the next hour. From arranging the setup of tables and chairs to providing meeting materials and flipcharts to cleaning and vacuuming, the Banquet House Attendant is a part of every detail. We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. This role has direct involvement with guests and good communication skills are required. By nature of this position, the Banquet House Attendant requires a high level of physical mobility. The ability to continuously stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 80lbs is required. A positive attitude and a can-do approach to any task are essential! This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Set-up, breakdown, and clean tables, chairs, buffets, skirting, and props as specified by the banquet event order. Stock linen, china, silver and glassware and supplies for service ensuring that in good condition. Maintain cleanliness and condition of all banquet function space according to maintenance programs and plans. Retrieve meeting materials, props, crates, and boxes from the hotel’s receiving area and store them safely and securely. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Candidate must be fluent in English, both verbal and written. Candidates should have at least 1 year previous experience in a similar position in a luxury environment. Must be experienced in the areas of communication and computer skills.
