Four Winds Casinos is Hiring a Restaurant Expeditor Near South Bend, IN

SUMMARY: 

Responsible for coordination and consolidation of all outgoing food items from the kitchen. Assures high standards of plate presentation and food quality. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Accurately reads ticket orders and assembles according to specifications.
  • Follows all recipes, specs, and control procedures.
  • Liaison between front of house and back of house regarding ticket orders/requests.
  • Ensures all food/expo items are properly covered, stocked, and stored throughout the shift.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with health regulations.
  • Assists with guest requests and food delivery.
  • Assists with portioning and food preparation.
  • Assists other restaurant personnel with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Previous experience in a similar position.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational skills required. ServSafe® certification or ability to become certified required.

This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 lb. and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lb.
