POSITION In collaboration with Director of Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Manager will play an integral role in the development and execution of the hotels annual marketing plan comprised of public relations, social media, and marketing communications strategies that support the Resort’s business objectives. Increased awareness and visibility of the Hotel, Food and Beverage outlets, Spa and employee stories are primary to role in driving traffic and revenues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Public Relations and Communications Develop a year-round integrated Public Relations and Communications Plan across all Hotel pillars with unique and thoughtful tactics across all PR and Comms channels Regularly monitor Hotel Marketing Scorecard Metrics as it applies to PR and Communications and execute tactics to gain ranking Work closely with all Hotel departments and outlets to develop new storylines Ensure monthly posting of Press Releases to highlight and communicate our news effectively and maintain prominent engagement on our Four Seasons Press Room Lead creation of Story Starters and sure presence of relative team bios to generate further engagement with Resort on Four Seasons Press Room Maintain image library to ensure the best representation of property Identify target publications, manage media communications, develop new connections, coordinate media visits and interviews to generate ongoing coverage Pitch and secure coverage through brand agency all-call editorial opportunities as well as B2B Communications opportunities Anticipate need periods, as well high demand periods, and activate teams to create unique guest programming. Develop thoughtful series of all new Hotel, culinary, and destination experiences that support our hotel positioning including potential including brand collaborations Seek, identify, and execute local event participation and activations that reach our local neighborhood surrounding communities Execute PR strategies within the Restaurant & Bar Toolkit to ensure maximum exposure for R&B outlets Lead and manage departmental PR and marketing meetings include meeting minutes and action items Represent Public Relations and Communications team throughout hotel meetings and operations Ensure monthly to quarterly sharing of PR and Communications highlights within Resort Be active within local and regional PR committees and associations Engage with local visitors’ bureaus and tourism boards for potential collaboration and awareness opportunities Manage PR related tracking and reports and create highlight presentations Conduct a benchmark on a regular basis with key competitors (local, national, international) and in the luxury space (retail, travel) to determine opportunities to improve our PR position Digital Marketing Oversee the Resort’s digital strategy with a proactive and creative approach to all available digital and electronic marketing platforms. Design and implement innovative programs and campaigns that increase awareness of the Resort, its offerings and dynamic team. Ensure such programs align with Brand DNA and standards as well as active marketing plans and budgets, while refining programs to capitalize on opportunities Actively co-manage FS proprietary websites, ensuring alignment with the Resort’s positioning and business objectives and creative storytelling Ensure up-to-date information on partner and third-party websites Plays a key role in reputation management, acting as a strategic communications advisor to management by keeping track of public attitudes, developing key messages and managing potential issues and organize responses Support additional digital marketing activities as needed such as SEO/SEM, PPC, digital advertising) Assist Director of Marketing with SEO, digital marketing, PPC and e-commerce (as needed) to ensure messaging and creative is aligned across all activities Track ROI and present monthly results of digital marketing efforts Social Media Oversee FS main Social Media channels and assist in curating and creating relevant and engaging content, telling a story consistent with our Resort and Four Seasons Brand DNA and standards Oversee Proof and Talavera Social Media Channels Leverage social media channels to amplify key messages and activities, elevating the importance of search as well as strategic and creative communication Pursue and coordinate social media influencer visits and utilize available programs to integrate proper User Generated Content Work closely with each department at the Resort to identify and produce social media content opportunities and have presence at relative Resort events Monitor social media conversations relevant to industry, luxury and local market Coordination of Resort participation in Four Seasons global social media campaigns Additional Functions Comply with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing, while working collaboratively with co-workers and planning committee Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact Be always a brand ambassador to Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, both on and off property DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Education and Experience College graduate Minimum of three years of experience in social media, digital marketing, public relations and related industries, preferably within hospitality preferred Desired Skills and Abilities Excellent writing, presentation and communications skills, with a strong sense of quality and a creative mind set Photography skills and an eye for aesthetic Attention to detail and organization Media relations experience Demonstrated knowledge of mobile, emerging and social media applications Knowledge of production methods in graphic arts and collateral Ability to multi-task effectively, managing multiple projects while being cognizant of deadlines and priorities Ability to manage third-party agencies, partners, and vendors Computer savvy with Microsoft Office and various design programs Four Seasons is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
