Overview:
Chariton Park Health Care Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant who desires to assist our residents in achieving the best quality of life possible. Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with various procedures and treatments
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks
- Perform basic patient assessments under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing, including venipuncture using aseptic technique
- Assist with the use of durable medical equipment (DME) as needed

-Engage, converse and have fun with residents

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or equivalent training
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional patient service
- Ability to lift and move patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
