Position Overview:

As a Direct Care Worker at Four Haven Home Care, you play a vital role in providing direct care and support to clients receiving in-home care services. Your commitment will include assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and offering companionship. This role also involves maintaining accurate client information and ensuring that clients' needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities::

- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

- Administer medication as directed by the client's care plan.

- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities, such as conversation and reading.

- Monitor the progress of clients and report any changes or concerns to the Case Manager.

- Maintain accurate client information and ensure that clients' needs are met promptly.

- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure a seamless care process.

Responding to emergency situations

Transporting client to appointments

- Follow all safety and infection control protocols.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in direct care or a related field.

-Must have updated TB Shot

-Must be able to pass both a criminal background check

-Must be able to pass a childline clearance check

-Must have two professional references

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Must be able to pass a background check.

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
