Four Corners Aviation is Hiring a Chief Pilot Near Dallas, TX

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Pilot (CP) must meet the qualification requirements of 14 CFR 119.71(c). This position is responsible to the Director of Operations (DO) for those activities, which pertain to the training, qualification, and general supervision of pilots for the purpose of maintaining a high proficiency and safety level in all flight operations.

POSITION LOCATION:

This position is located in Frisco, TX with aircraft located in Addison, TX. Candidate must be located within 90 minutes of Frisco, TX. If not currently local, relocation to the Frisco, TX area is required for this position

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and Multi-Engine Land (MEL) certificate
  • Appropriate ratings for at least one of the airplanes operated by Four Corners Aviation (FCA) preferred. Lear45 type rating preferred.
  • Have at least three (3) years’ experience, within the past six (6) years as Pilot-in-Command of an airplane operated under Part 121 or Part 135
  • Passing of the Drug/Alcohol Test and appropriate background checks
  • Acceptance of Pilot Records Information Act (PRIA) information

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises personnel according to the Four Corners Aviation Organizational chart.
  • Conducts or supervises all training activities of flight crew personnel in accordance with FCA’s approved training program.
  • Prepares and maintains proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, load manifests, and correspondence pertaining to flight operations activities.
  • Maintains Pilot flight and duty records by instructing each crew member to complete the Pilot Flight and Duty Report at the end of each duty period.
  • Ensures that all flight crew personnel are certified and supervised according to the requirements specified in the Federal Aviation Regulations in accordance with FCA’s approved training program.
  • Has authority to act for the Certificate Holder, including the signing of FAA correspondence and operations specifications.
  • Monitors aircraft status and coordinates with the Director of Maintenance the timely correction of mechanical irregularities and discrepancies in accordance with FCA‘s AAIP or GMM as appropriate.
  • Maintains proficiency as Pilot in Command through the completion of training and checking in accordance with FCA’s approved training program.
  • Supervises that the aircraft navigation charts are kept current by flight crew members on or before the effective date listed on the update.
  • May perform the duties of the Operations Flight Scheduler/Dispatch.
  • May delegate duties and responsibilities to the Director of Operations.
  • May perform delegated duties from the Director of Operations and Director of Maintenance.
  • Is a required member of the CASS committee as outlined in the GMM.
  • Has the authority to implement changes in policy in regard to safety and quality related recommendations.
  • Coordinates as appropriate training schedules and compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • This position requires a blend of technical and business experience in aviation. A working knowledge of aircraft, aircraft operations and support services will enhance this person’s performance.
  • Aviation business acumen and sales skills are required to oversee and manage the various business documents including contracts, hangar leases, and accounting processes.
  • Ability to manage, lead, and interact effectively as a team member with all other corporate departments.
  • Extremely skilled and knowledgeable of customer service techniques and in conflict management. Ability to perform all job duties providing the highest level of service to both external and internal customers.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Skill in organizing and performing detail-oriented and timely duties and functions.
  • Develop budget and manage team to meet budgetary objectives.
  • Participate in development of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate to and interact with executive level.
  • Plan and to prioritize work.
  • Work with Microsoft Windows and Office Software.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all cases involving client aircraft operations and when dealing with sensitive or security issues.
