Overview

Foundry is seeking an innovative and talented Global Director of Content Strategy to lead our global content services team.

The Global Director, Content Strategy will lead a global team of commercial content directors, strategists, and specialists who create transformational marketing programs for the world’s largest technology companies. In this role, you will play a lead role in providing strategic guidance at the earliest stages of client engagements. You will apply a mix of editorial and content marketing expertise, using data-driven insights from a variety of sources to align content deliverables and brand messaging with our clients’ objectives.

The ideal candidate has a data-driven mindset, journalistic curiosity, attention to detail, and excellent content-creation skills. This is a client-facing position that requires a professional presence and ability to develop ongoing client relationships. The Global Director, Content Strategy will report to the Content Director.

Foundry’s marketing services team works with B2B technology clients to create compelling storytelling and thought leadership to help marketers attract and engage with technology buyers. Responsibilities

  • Managing the global content strategy team, ensuring the team has the proper support and resources to succeed in their roles.
  • Responding to client briefs in collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Presenting research and other Foundry insights to clients and internal teams to inform and educate key stakeholders on industry trends and audience behaviors
  • Representing the content team on cross-functional, strategic initiatives
  • Overseeing content strategy and production for your own client campaigns, including all aspects of ideation and content development.
  • Developing content for a variety of digital content formats, including white papers, blog posts, long-form articles, interactive infographics, advertising copy, webcasts, and videos.
  • Managing the work of in-house experts, freelance writers, and other contractors to ensure that the team consistently meets our standards for high-quality, engaging, impactful content.
  • Working with internal project management, research, sales, and other teams to ensure that all client needs are met throughout the content planning, development, and delivery process.

Qualifications

  • 10 years as a journalist or content marketing strategist for a media company or agency, with 3 years of managing a team
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills – adept at storytelling for a B2B technology audience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret audience data to find key insights that guide content strategy
  • Creative, innovative, and collaborative personality and approach
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with senior leadership and functional groups on strategic initiatives to grow the business
  • Confidence in front of clients and in front of a camera
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
