AM Line/Prep Cook | Part Time
SUMMARY:
  • Prepares a variety of hot and cold food items such as salad, sauces, side dishes, and appetizers in place.
  • Portions, washes, peels, slices and mixes vegetables, fruits, pastas and other ingredients for entrees, appetizers, salads and garnishes.
  • Carves and slices meats, cheese.
  • Measures and mixes ingredient to make salad dressings, sauces, salads and hot and cold food items following recipes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Prep Cook Hot-Cold’s primary responsibilities will include:
  • Washes, peels, chops or dices food and vegetables. Slices cold meats and prepares seafood.
  • Prepares an extensive variety of cold food items utilizing standardized recipes and portions food as specified.
  • Tastes all food prepared to ensure proper flavor, texture and consistency and that items meet established quality standards.
  • Washes and cleans all utensils, preparation equipment and counters required for production.
  • Ensures that sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Complies with standards of personal cleanliness and proper uniform at all times.
  • Complies with management and peers assisting with other duties, if needed.
  • Demonstrates awareness of costs relative to this position.
  • Selects, Maintains and reports any damage to knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to portion, cut, slice, broil, garnish, maintain holding temperature or otherwise produce food in the prep station.
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism, honesty and a true passion to be the best at your job at all times maintaining our company culture.
  • Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift. 
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, or flat top grill.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Education –High school diploma required.
  • Experience – One-year experience in related field preferred.
