Seeking a proven leader with experience in the behavioral health setting to supervise our residential facility. This person is responsible for the execution of the therapeutic program along with oversight for residential staff. The ideal candidate will possess professionalism, strong critical thinking skills, and excellent leadership abilities to fit a positive workplace culture.
The Shift Coordinator regularly ensures the safety and security of the facility at all times by monitoring the movement of the units, ensuring programming is followed, supporting direct care staff and following all facility Policies and Procedures. The Shift Coordinator actively works to support the facility mission of providing an environment of safety so that the residents feel empowered to heal the wounds of the past and build a foundation of hope for the future.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, special education, criminal justice, or related mental health field and five years of experience supervising and leading employees.
The Shift Coordinator regularly ensures the safety and security of the facility at all times by monitoring the movement of the units, ensuring programming is followed, supporting direct care staff and following all facility Policies and Procedures.
The Shift Coordinator maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu (social environment) as well as supports the activities of daily living for our residents by providing structure, redirecting residents, and setting limits on whichever shift assigned. Crisis intervention skills may be utilized occasionally.

Youth Care Specialists serve as positive role models and work as part of a team of educators, clinicians, and nurses to support each youth as he or she works to meet individual goals.

Foundations for Living is licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (ODMHAS) and accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). Foundations for Living offers individual, group, and family counseling to our residents.
