Job Summary :

Provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.

The Patient Care Tech provides care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit / department.

Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

High School diploma or GED

Experience in acute care setting preferred

Successful completion of PCT training program with certification is required .

De-escalation training (obtained CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty.

BLS (or obtained during orientation)

Trained in phlebotomy and vital signs measurement.
