The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. We are currently seeking a Community Relations Representative to join our team.

The Community Relations Representative is responsible for the achievement of optimal utilization of Fairmount’s continuum of care by developing and maintaining direct referral relationships in designated market(s).

The Community Relations Representative functions in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System.

Provides Sales, Marketing and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department, participates in the Account Management system, assessing the needs of the customer and making the required number of marketing contacts to each account, in order to develop and maintain a long-term referral relationship which will generate a continuous flow of admissions to meet hospital census objectives.

He / she plans events, provides tours, performs referral source in-services, acts as a liaison between the referral source and the hospital, and seeks out new business development opportunities for the hospital.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelors Degree
• Prefer knowledge of the Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency diagnoses & symptomology, age specific programming.
• Excellent communication skills; capable of operating independently and effectively; self-motivated; experience in developing new territories in target markets with customer base;
• consistent ability to close sales and achieve assigned objectives; knowledge of mental health and substance abuse terminology;
• experience in customer service in the health care field preferred; must be able to cope with rejection and criticism; ability to maintain information as highly confidential;

able to meet deadlines.
