Part time OT contractor needed in Tuscon area for the '24-'25 school year.

We are seeking to engage an occupational therapist to provide services in a school-based supportive setting. We staff several schools for Speech & OT in Arizona, you'll be part of a team at this school.

Now hiring for next school year, this is a part-time position as an Independent Contractor for two to three days per week.

• Part-Time 12 - 24 hours per week (some flexibility in hours and days, half-days are ok)

== Job Duties ==

• Complete Evaluations, Plan of Care and relevant documentation: Must be able to complete evaluations on a pediatric population, develop a plan of care in a school or clinic setting and maintain relevant documentation and supervision for COTAs.
• Implementing Therapy Plans: Carry out individual or group therapy sessions with students targeting specific occupational therapy goals.
• Monitoring Progress: Help track and document students' progress during therapy sessions, providing valuable partnerships and communication with the COTA
• Creating and Preparing Materials: Assist in creating or preparing therapy materials and resources to support students' learning and development.
• Providing Classroom Support: Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to implement strategies that facilitate skills within the classroom environment.
• Supporting Home Practice: Work with students and COTAs to ensure that therapy goals are reinforced through activities at home.
• Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other necessary documentation.

Preferred candidates:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy
• Must be currently registered/licensed
• Must be able to pass and obtain applicable background check and fingerprint clearance to work in an educational setting
• Must have own laptop
• Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the facility
• Maintains professional working relationships with all team members
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
