Elementary Teacher
Job Description
The Elementary teacher provides supervision and instruction of a class of elementary students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Comprehensive lesson planning and instructional delivery in a variety of core subjects (Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Science and Bible) are accomplished daily. Assessments are administered and progress is tracked in the school management system. In addition delivery of specials such as art and music may be required. Computers and/or tablets will be used in the classroom as a learning tool.
Requirements
Childhood Education or closely related field preferred.
Responsibilities
1. Create an environment where children feel safe and love coming to school. Allow for diverse learners and ensure their learning needs are met.
2. Oversee all operations and procedures of the classroom.
3. Keep communication lines between him/herself and the staff, students and parents open at all times in order to build a collaborative environment.
4. Build, establish and maintain positive relationships in the community that support a diverse student population and the vision and mission of the school.
5 Be active in student development and care by being aware of changes the student is dealing with, and keeping track of illnesses.
6. Effectively communicate with faculty, staff, parents and students.
7. Be available for faculty and staff meetings after school hours as scheduled by the administration.
8. Be available for evening or weekend orientations and parent visits as scheduled.
9. Attend and aid in supervisions of students at special events such as music or visual or performing arts exhibitions.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
