Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Senior Claims Advocate to their Genatt V team in New Hyde Park, NY.

Job Summary:

Drive advocacy and results as liaison between the client(s), carrier(s) and other industry stakeholders. Monitor client claims cradle to grave for all lines of coverage.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for all claim handling aspects of assigned accounts
• Actively advocate on behalf of client and work claim toward resolution
• Communicate with insureds, carriers and other necessary parties to monitor and track all open and /or closed claims for assigned accounts
• Request and gather necessary documents, information and data for claims analysis
• Prepare Claims Reviews
• Maintain and actively monitor claims diary
• Maintain and actively monitor claims diary
• Analyze new claims for coverage issues

Competencies & Qualifications: 

• Computer skills and proficiency with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail orientated with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Must be flexible and have the ability to adjust to priorities

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5 years with insurance claims handling experience on commercial and/or personal lines of insurance
