Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this job position is to raise fundsfor the Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey in support of capital projects,programs, and services of the Jewish Home Family continuum carefacilities. The Senior Development Associate (SDA) is responsiblefor raising funds through a variety ofstrategies including , but not limited to, face-to-facesolicitations, parlor meetings and major events that will entail donor cultivation andsolicitation as well as serving to raise JewishHome Family awareness. The SDA will identify, cultivate, solicit, andsteward major gift prospects to foster five andsix-figure gifts to achieve area goals. THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION .
Essential Functions:
•Identify, cultivate, engage, steward and solicit all levels of philanthropic gifts.
•Developing and cultivating financial support for the Foundation's Annual Giving Program, Legacy Giving, Endowment, and Capital Campaign programs.
•Identify, cultivate and solicit corporate support -specifically in the area of special events sponsorship's.
•Develop a close working relationship with board members and major gift prospects.
•Be able to meet benchmark goals established by leadership, as well as self-made benchmarks.
•Organize the planning and printing solicitation materials for fundraising campaigns.
•Work with the Foundation team to create fundraising programs and special events including planning and tracking.
•Accumulate, maintain and provide statistical data as directed
•Proficiency in CRM's such as Raiser's Edge.
•Prepare confidential reports, statistical and financial data as directed.
Skills Required:

• Proven success in planning fundraising events
• Strong knowledge of donor cultivation, donor services and solicitation and proven ability to solicit major gifts
• Experience with researching and writing Foundation Grants
• High integrity and diplomatic skills to function within a multifaceted organization
