Overview

Business Intelligence Analyst Description & Duties:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will on a regular basis develop data-driven recommendations and present to senior management to improve business strategies and practices. 

Duties may include, but are not limited to: 

Responsibilities

• Dive into data and quickly become an expert on internal and non-traditional data sets. Use creativity and problem-solving acumen to identify trends and drive adjustments to our underwriting capabilities.
• Develop performance reporting in Tableau and other media, present results to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
• Gather information for business intelligence from sources, such as market research reports, public records, field reports, or purchased findings. In addition to gathering information about customers and the market, grow and apply your knowledge of pertinent technological trends or emerging markets in our industry.
• Examine data to provide market and financial intelligence reports that drive the critical path of the company.
• Develop recommendations to improve returns, grow profitable loan originations and present results to executive leadership.
• Gather information on issues, making recommendations for fixes to improve system performance and process efficiency.
• Ensure risk and pricing models are soundly developed, accurately tested, and continually benchmarked.
• Identify new insights, including external data sources that differentiate loan performance.
• Assist with generating company performance through project cost-benefit analyses.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Mathematics, Engineering or similar quantitative field is required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in data analytics

• R or Python 3 years’ experience required, Tableau 3 years’ experience required, Math & Statistics 3 years’ experience required, SQL/VBA a plus.

• demonstratable advanced use of Tableau.

• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP®) is a plus.
