We’re looking for a dedicated and talented Operations Associate to become part of our team. 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Responsible: Tasks you are responsible for. Tasks are subject to change.

Parent and Community Communication

  • As the first impression of Foundation Academies, gives every visitor, family, and student an outstanding experience in regular interactions
  • Works closely with the Enrollment Manager to create and maintain effective communication strategies with families
  • Manages all parent outreach initiatives (enrollment, food service, transportation)

Recruitment and Enrollment 

  • Maintains fiscal solvency of the organization
  • Manages all appropriate and state required paperwork gathered during the enrollment process
  • Monitors student transfers throughout the school year to ensure budgeted enrollment numbers
  • Updates the student application and lottery system (SchoolMint)

Food Services

  • Inputs all NJ Department of Agriculture reporting
  • Meets all National School Lunch Program requirements including but not limited to the student lunch application process, food service management contract renewals and direct certification. 
  • Takes on all duties as the food service management company liaison (i.e. snack ordering and distribution)
  • Completes and handles the management of the student lunch application system, Point of Sale system and parent payment system (MSA Client, Mosaic POS, and MySchoolBucks)

Student Transportation

  •  Drafts and finalizes bus registration and all in-district and out-of-district transportation reports

Accountable: (What you are accountable for does not change, You are the decider on pivots within the system to meet the following goals)

  • Maintain on a monthly basis enrollment of 84 students per grade level K-8 and 336 for grades 9-12.
  • Obtain 95% of meal applications by October 15th.
  • Increase student meal satisfaction by 25% by December 2024 and by another 25% by June. 

Consulted: What you are consulted for and therefore should be deeply knowledgeable about.

  • Federal Student Meals Application 
  • Student snacks and summer meals

Informed: Ensure you stay abreast on the influence of these systems on what you are accountable for.

  • NJ In-district and out-of-district transportation requirements

Qualifications

  • Preferably bilingual
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in charter school enrollment
  • Possession of a valid NJ driver’s license and reliable transportation
