TITLE: Sales Consultant - CommunitySuite

POSITION SUMMARY: Solutions Engineer
Foundant is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic accountant with a passion for technology solutions in the philanthropic sector. The Community Foundation Solutions Engineer will present Foundant’s CommunitySuite solution offerings and architecture to prospects and clients. They will be responsible for evoking confidence in CommunitySuite’s functionality and technology infrastructure and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. The Community Foundation Sales Consultant will uncover business requirements, develop a solution sales strategy, and effectively demonstrate Foundant’s solutions that address customer requirements.
Post sale, the Sales Consultant will be a primary point of contact to help ensure the smooth transition from Sales to Client Services for the implementation of Foundant’s solutions and the resulting business process transformation. This role will assist with our large and complex implementations and is a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the client organization. The right candidate is client-focused and driven to partner with our clients to achieve their strategic goals by digitally transforming their experiences.
SPECIFIC PRE-SALES RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a presales expert in Foundant’s CommunitySuite, including its architecture, all areas of functionality, industry application, and deployment methodologies in the philanthropic space
Lead thorough discovery discussions with clients to understand organization goals, vision and both overt and latent pains
Craft alignment between the needs of a broad range of client constituents and the solutions Foundant offers
Develop proposals and technical aspects of RFP responses with appropriate products and services based on prospect requirements
Understand the larger Foundant organization and know when to bring appropriate resources into the pre-sales process
Participate in sales meetings with clients and prospects, presenting the technical and administrative aspects of how our products, services, and/or solutions solve specific problems
Develop and deliver custom product demonstrations to key decision-makers to address their business issues and needs
Expertly lead conversations regarding the value of Foundant’s solutions
Maintain knowledge of industry and regulatory trends and competitive insight to bolster your reputation as a well-informed and trusted advisor
Deliver exemplary presentations at Conferences, Workshops, Webinars, and internal company meetings
Demonstrate the ability to deliver the technical features, competitive advantages, and business benefits of Foundant solutions
Answer questions and engineer solutions extemporaneously
Set up product evaluation environments and oversee evaluation process
Evaluate client data to migrate from legacy systems and recommend the best migration path
Advocate on behalf of prospects and clients for product enhancements that can benefit the philanthropic sector
SPECIFIC POST-SALES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage client relationships by establishing open communication channels, setting and exceeding expectations, being a technical resource and providing extraordinary client service
Simultaneously assist with multiple projects, including communication with team members to complete assigned work and escalating issues for resolution
Help ensure we have adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
Influence and drive strategic decisions across the organization based on technical and industry expertise
Partner seamlessly with other business groups
Organize, plan, and lead company presence and user groups at conferences

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
7-10 years' accounting experience within the philanthropic sector or experience as a pre-sales engineer for an accounting software application
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related fields preferred
In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Understanding of internal workings and relationships of different-sized community and other foundations
Knowledge of, or experience in, change management and business process reengineering methodologies
Comfortable with heavy client contact and initiating and building relationships with prospects, partners and clients
Proven ability to engage effectively at the executive level
Detail-oriented, well organized and driven in making a positive impact to the business and industry, while leading and motivating others
Friendly, enthusiastic and professional demeanor
Engaging and knowledgeable presentations
Appetite for continuous improvement and learning
Desire to travel: approximately 30-50% may be required
