POSITION DESCRIPTION

As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will be expected to take instruction from our shop Foreman and execute fabrication from engineer designs. You will support the shop other journeymen and foreman with all workflow at the foreman’s discretion.

You will be expected to be able to fabricate, communicate and work dynamically with our shop team. Fabrication is a large area that ranges from forming, bending to welding and cutting. Potential to electrical wiring training for our products. We also do fabrication of bus bar for both electrical and non-electrical parts. It demands focus, as well as a desire to be proud of the work you do. With our emphasis on custom fabrication, problem solving is a skill that will be exercised daily.
This job requires many different abilities. A potential candidate would be expected to have math skills, reading skills and writing skills. The ability to communicate well with others, as well sheet metal knowledge. Electrical knowledge is a plus but not required. An ideal candidate would be a self-starter who has strong problem-solving skills who is eager to learn and grow. A positive attitude, a good work ethic, honesty and respectful of others are critical traits that are expected from each person at Fouch Electric. Proper lifting and carrying methods will also be required. As a fabricator you will use many different pieces of equipment, from a large assortment of sheet metal equipment once you have been trained in Safe operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sheet Metal fabrication, if you have any electrical experience it is a plus but not required.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 30 to 70 lbs. Ability to operate lifting machinery for heavier items.
  • Ability to utilize various hand tools, equipment and machinery while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment with training.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing principles of mechanical production (electrical production is a plus.)
  • Proven ability to handle multiple requests and completing priorities in order to meet production deadlines.

COMPENSATION

· $20.00 to $30.00 an hour

· Fully Paid medical insurance for up to family

· Union Pensions

· Hours are 6:30am to 3:00 pm
