COMPENSATION: $85,000 - $110,000; Depending upon Experience

HOURS PER WEEK: Varies – Full Time

DAYS REQUIRED: Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays

Hemlock is set on the historic site of the former New Age Health Spa. The 230 acre campus is serene, naturally beautiful and filled with woodsy paths, secluded nooks, hiking trails, and streams. Hemlock features the region’s most complete wellness facility, with 14 treatment rooms, a full service spa, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Plus a movement & fitness center featuring premium crafted equipment, yoga spaces, studio fitness, and more.

In addition to movement & fitness opportunities, Hemlock also offers spaces and instruction for a range of “hands on” activities such as pottery, weaving, life drawing, and other mindful creative practices.

The General Manager coordinates, manages, and directs the overall operation of Hemlock Neversink. This role will be accountable for the overall guest experience at the property from the spa, movement spaces, outdoor activities, restaurant, guest rooms, to all common spaces. The General Manager will work in close collaboration with Foster Supply Hospitality’s corporate team. This role is accountable for a consistently exceptional guest experience, the wellbeing and performance of the property team, and the positioning of Hemlock Neversink within the community.

What You’ll Do:

• At Foster Supply Hospitality (FSH) we are a Team. The first and largest expectation and duty is that of being a productive, positive and willing member of a dynamic team.
• Manage the day to day operations of the hotel, spa, and restaurant, to maximize revenue and profit while providing an outstanding guest experience.
• Learn and utilize computer systems, including PMS booking software, POS system, spa booking system, etc.
• Hire, manage, schedule, and supervise staff in partnership with the HR Director.
• Coordinate adequate phone coverage and ensure that email and phone inquiries receive prompt responses.
• Develop programming and custom itineraries for in-house guests in partnership with the property’s leadership team.
• Create, Edit, Train and Implement Check List procedures for all teams.
• Train and coach the Guest Services team to deliver a high level of service to all guests.
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the property, in partnership with the Housekeeping Team and Facilities & Grounds Manager.
• Develop positive working relationships with company owners and Directors.
• Manage costs & expenses, developing and adhering to budgets, and taking ownership of property financial performance against established goals.
• Work with the Sales & Marketing Team to actively promote the property, including assisting with social and digital media outreach.
• Execute all group and event sale itineraries and identify successful public and private event initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols, including those specific to Covid-19.

Work will be performed usually indoors, with regular travel between buildings year-round. You will have to have a keen understanding of all guest spaces within the property, including all rooms, grounds, common spaces.

Physical Requirements:

This position can be physically demanding – standing, stooping, crouching, traveling between buildings outdoors, and performing repetitive tasks for a long period of time. Walking up and down stairs may be required. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
