Forward Action Recruiting and Staffing is Hiring a Nurse Manager/AL Administrator Near Fort Worth, TX

Requirements:

  • Current nursing license to practice in Texas (LPN or RN).
  • Current and valid Assisted Living Administrator license or Residential Care Facility Administrator license
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business administration or a related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ leadership experience in a senior living facility or nursing home.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a similar setting including budgeting, performance management, discipline, program development and management of staff.
  • Previous experience with scheduling and service plans
  • Working knowledge of long-term care facility medical practices and procedures, state and federal privacy laws, state and federal operations regulations, OSHA.
  • Current and valid CPR and first aid certification
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, medical records and clinical software programs and other relevant business applications.
  • Availability to be on-call during the evenings and weekends as needed

Salary: 75k-90k

What you’ll be doing:

You will be responsible for oversight of all operational activities in the Assisted Living /Memory Care Centers, including all aspects of care and delivery of services to residents therein, staff supervision, and quality assurance.

You will also maintain financials for the units, while staying within budgetary guidelines.

How you’ll do it:

  • Demonstrate leadership by ensuring that accountability and Pacific Retirement Services’ (PRS) Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—are ingrained into all aspects of your role.
  • Understand the importance of resident rights in healthcare as well as the community as a whole, and advocate for operations, processes, and decisions that are in residents’ best interests.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, review, modification, and practice of current facility policies and procedures, ensuring all are in compliance with current regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that operations of the facility are geared towards the social model of care with an individualized approach for each resident.
  • Conduct a screening prior to admission of any resident to ensure that the resident meets the criteria for the facility in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that initial and ongoing updates are made to each service plan to reflect the current plan of care individual to each resident and that the facility is in compliance with regulatory requirements related to the review of each Resident’s service plan.
  • Develop, implement, and inform residents and/or Resident’s Responsible Party of the policy and procedures with regard to Resident complaints and grievances.
  • Ensure appropriate involvement as it relates to Licensed Nurse oversight including any change in condition, appropriate documentation related to Nursing intervention and assessment, and the provision of nursing care to residents.
  • Provide oversight and directly participate in activities related to hiring, evaluating, training, retention and termination of all employees within the facility as well as ensuring proper staffing levels. Coordinate with the HR department for initiatives and overall community success.
  • Ensure that all records are accurately prepared, stored, secured and maintained in accordance with the current regulatory requirements. Ensure that all resident records are kept confidential.
  • Oversee and participate in the implementation of emergency measures to assure the safety and comfort of residents in the event of accident, fire or disaster.
  • Provide 24-hour, on-call support as needed, and consults with the Healthcare Administrator to address emergencies and resident or staff issues.
  • Oversee and monitor the facility’s Quality Assurance Program.
  • Communicate with Resident Representatives to ensure the constant information and
    involvement on behalf of each Resident is maintained.
  • Assist in the facilitation and communication of medical services provided outside of the facility. In addition, assure the appropriate follow through with regard to treatment plan orders, changes, etc.
  • Participate in and/or lead meetings including but not limited to; quality assurance, transfers, ethics, risk management, resident committees, staff trainings and team meetings.
  • Understand and support the 11 principles of the Halcyon Model
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
