$1,000 SIGNING BONUS*
3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Every other weekend, 3 holidays per year

*Payable in two installments after 6 months and 12 months of employment. 

Qualifications


What you'll do as a Lead Cycle Technician: 
  • Act as lead for cycle fill production, with strict adherence to accuracy and completion of tasks within deadline.
  • Train new cycle fill technicians upon hire and/or upon implementation of process changes.
  • Create, process, export, and or print medication labels.
  • Sort prescription labels for cycle fill facilities based on sort requested.
  • Process, package, and dispense physician orders for medications, DME, and other medical supplies to residents in long-term care facilities under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Ensure cycle medications are toted, organized for delivery, and delivery manifests printed.
  • Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
  • Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.
  • Participate in educational and professional programs and/or review professional literature on an ongoing basis to maintain knowledge and competency in current and developing techniques, professional standards, and the services offered by the pharmacy.
  • Assist in resolving facility/patient problems under emergency conditions.
  • Develop technical knowledge of the products/services provided by the pharmacy and be able to provide information of same to others upon request.
  • Be able to operate and properly maintain pharmacy equipment as it relates to job duties.
  • Assist with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company and accreditation standards.
  • Attend and participate in pharmacy meetings and special events.
  • Other duties as directed.
What we need:
  • Current unencumbered license in the state of practice: Certified Pharmacy Technician (certification not required for Illinois Pharmacy Technicians licensed before 2008).
  • High School diploma or graduate equivalent degree. College preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, or Home Health industry preferred or equivalent.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform basic math functions.
  • Knowledge of medication brand and generic names and medical terminology.
  • Sitting, standing, walking; at desk, in office throughout facility and pharmacy.
  • Operation of office machinery and Pharmacy equipment.
  • Occasionally lift/move items up to 40 pounds.
